The Dolce Vita Fresco

An upcoming project for Osiris Rain will be the large-scale creation of a fresco to be installed in a public forum. Having been his home for the last five years, Osiris seeks to convey in his design the vibrant spirit that embodies the diversity of the growing eclectic neighborhood of NoDa.

This fresco will be a commentary on the effects of progress and urbanization, the values of knowledge, and the importance of community. It will seek to express the familial qualities maintained in a rapidly changing urban atmosphere, to convey the human desire to attain the wisdom of the world around them, and the effects of the dichotomy that exists between traditions of the past and the progress of the present age. This fresco will be the reflection of the neighborhood’s rhythmic dance, created from the bricks of a bohemian lifestyle to the cinderblocks of refined condos, between which the heartbeat of rapid drums still echo in its veins.

Osiris would like to present this fresco as a gift to his community. However, the cost of developing this project is immense. Dolce Vita Wine Bar, located in the heart of Historic NoDa, has graciously donated the space to display this project. The donation of materials, time and funds are needed to ensure the completion of this visual commemoration.
